On February 7, 2018, the Consul-general of the Czech Republic in Chengdu Kare Srol had a meeting with Jiang Bin, Director of the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office.
Director Jiang Bin welcomed Consul Srol and the delegation for visiting the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and then expressed the anticipation that the two sides could continue deepening collaborations in fields such as economy, trade, investment, industrial projects, culture, arts, aviation and logistics.
Consul Srol thanked the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office for all the supports given to the works of the Czech Consulate-general in Chengdu. Consul Srol stated that the year 2018 marks the centennial anniversary of the independence of the Czech Republic, and the Consulate-general has plans to host a string of economic, trade and cultural exchanges and activities such as Czech investment forum, beer festival and concert within the year. The chief Czech emissary also indicated hope for the two sides to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in terms of mutual visits by high-ranking policy-makers, investment, trade, culture and biomedicine, and in addition the two parties spoke extensively about enhancing work-related coordination and communication.
Relevant leaders in charge at the Department of Consular Service and External Affairs, Department of Economy, Science and Technology, and Department of European Affairs of the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office also participated in the meeting.
