On January 16, a work-related meeting was held between Jiang Bin, Director of Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and Dióssi Lóránd, Consul-General of Hungary in Chongqing.
Jiang Bin began by welcoming Consul-general Dióssi Lóránd and the delegation for visiting Chengdu, then thanked the Consulate-General of Hungary in Chongqing for the support and help provided over the years, and expressed that the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office will continue providing conveniences to the Hungarian consulate for its undertakings in Chengdu. Jiang Bin also indicated the anticipation for the two sides to continue deepening cooperation in fields such as international sister cities relations establishment, economic and trade interactions, and cultural exchanges, in particular participation in the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair and Chengdu-Europe Cultural Season hosted by the city of Chengdu, and to jointly promote the opening of non-stop flight between Chengdu and Budapest.
Consul-general Dióssi Lóránd thanked the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office for the great support provided to facilitate the consulate's works, and expressed the wish to jointly push forward cultural projects under the "16+1" framework and to continue promoting cooperation between Hungary and Chengdu in economy, trade, culture and other fields.
Relevant staffs with the Consular Affairs Department and European Affairs Department of the Chengdu Municipal Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office attended the activity mentioned above.
