On September 18, 2015, the Consulate-general of the Czech Republic in Chengdu opened its doors. Its consular district includes the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan and Chongqing municipality. The Consulate-general is located at 24/F, No. 99 Dongda Street Lower Section, Dongda Street, Jinjiang District.
About Zbyněk Noha, Czech Consul General in Chengdu
Zbyněk Noha was born in July 1977, and he received his Master's in International Relations from the Prague School of Economics in 2002. Afterwards he studied at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
He joined the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002. He became a staff at the Czech Embassy in Lebanon in 2003, a staff at the European Office of the Department of Western Europe Affairs of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004, a consul at the Czech Embassy in Iran in 2006, a staff at the Public Affairs Department of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2009, a member of the cabinet of the Czech Foreign Affairs Minister in 2010, and Deputy Ambassador to China in 2012.
On February 5, 2016, Zbyněk Noha became the first Consul General at the Czech Consulate-general in Chengdu.
