Became a sister city on

     Horsens is a city located in the east of Jutland, Denmark. Horsens lies about 200 km away from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, and has a population of around 83,000. 
     
     As an important center of economy and railway transport in Denmark, the city has highly-developed industries and commerce. It is a famous destination of cultural tourism and takes the lead in the creative industries, especially the musical industry. Large-scale European shows and cultural activities take place in Horsens every year. For example, the European Medieval Festival, the largest-scale cultural activity in Denmark, is celebrated every August in Horsens, attracting more than 100,000 visitors. The city has the fastest-developing education industry in Denmark. It is also home to VIA University College, which is the third largest university in Denmark and comprises five century-old Danish colleges. 

     Dedicated to cooperating with Chinese colleges and universities, VIA University College has established cooperation relationships with more than 10 universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Chengdu. Besides, Danmark Industrial Museum is located in Horsens.
